Happy Christmas from the Thompsons!

Hey all!

1 more day at work before we get ready for Christmas.

After Christmas we will be cruising up to Waitaki to catch some sunshine, some fish, and hopefully diminish the local rabbit population a little. On about the 4th we will float up to Christchurch to have a look at Orana Park and the new year sales........

Have a great Christmas ,enjoy the presents, yummy food and family, and whatever you get up to, don't forget who Christmas is all about!

lovey Hugs and Stuff,

Grant, Sarah and the Whanau

More Birthday Fun...

Hi all. More birthday news, Gideon is turned six on Sunday. The party was a bit of an event. The six of us went down to Woodhaugh Gardens(by Jens old 'flat') where we met Grant's brother Rodney, and his girlfriend Akari. 4 of Gideons friends showed up, exchanged presents and then jumped in to their togs(it was a scorching 12 degrees celsius, with cloudy skies and a cool wind) for a play in the paddling pool.
The kids played a few games and slowly turned blue around the lips, espiecally little Ethan.
we had a bit of a cook up on the BBQ, and then broke out 3 buckets of Water Bombs for the grand finale. Photos to come. As we cleaned up, the heavens opened and the kids got dressed. So far everything had gone well.
Things turned to custard when we decided that the best way to beat the weather was to head in to MacDonalds on the main street for an ice cream and a play in the indoor playground. We kinda forgot that the main street was chaos due to the University Graduation ceremony that starts with all the students marching down the main drag!
After battling our way to the golden arches, dropping off the kids, and then finding a carpark, feeding everyone an icecream and then heading back to the car, things got ugly.
Grant and Rod drove round to the rendevous point out the back of Maccy-Ds. Sarah strted ferrying the kids down the stairs to the car. Unfortunately, Caleb decided to follow her, but took a right instead of the crucial Left, and then wound up on the main street with the crowds.....
10 minutes later he was found on the other side of St Andrew St. I still don't want to think how he managed to get over the road without getting nailed by a car.
Once we got the Caleb-meister back, who incidently couldn't see what all of the fuss was about, we ditched all the visiting kids at their respective homes, and went home to try and de-stress.......
One Birthday party gone for good

Calebs Hair cut

Gidday,

The other ground - breaking piece of Thompson news is that Caleb has lost his curls! Yep.

He demanded a 'turn' with the clippers when I was giving myself a trim. You can't turn the little guy down.

he no longer has the cute "I'm still a baby" look, and maybe he isn't getting away with so much mischief because of it. The world is now a much safer place for Gideon, Jonathan and Daniel.

Sarah's Birthday

Hi All. It's Sarah's birthday today. I even remembered!

The boys were still in bed when I made a mad dash to catch the bus, so I quietly slipped Sarah a box of chocolates and ran.

We're off to the ale house for lunch (Sarah was quite impressed with it on my birthday) and I'll be whipping out a couple more pressies when I get home.

Hmmm, maybe some flowers, too.
