Up in Crusader Country

We're currently up in Christchurch, staying at the Cropps house while they are in Hami-vegas. Grunta has 3 days work in the office up here, and we'll take Friday off to go to Orana Park with Great Grandma Dalley.

We had tea with Nanna and Pop last night(see pics at cavan pl), and Caleb stayed the night with them last night. We'll move over to their house on Friday when the Croppsters get back from Hamilton.

The playground pics are from Twizel, as we made a bit of a scenic detour on the way up.

Ski Trip Photos

Early August saw the team, minus Daniel, heading up to Wanaka for a days Skiing and a day's kicking around Wanaka.

The original plan was for Gideon and Grant to Ski on Saturday and Sunday, but the kibosh went on that when Gideon twisted his knee on the Saturday. We were going to let him ski the next day,but he couldn't walk across the room on Sunday, so Grant had to go up the mountain alone(sigh).

The rest of the team kicked around Wanaka and in particular played at Stuart Landsborough's puzzling world (see photo's below). There are heaps of mind bending optical exhibits, a fairly intense maze, and a 'puzzle room' where you can lounge around and try to knock off a few rubiks cubes.

Even More Pics

Here's some recent shots of the kids over at the park (behind our house) which the local council has been making some improvements on.

Basically there's some big mounds of dirt which provide a bit of Gravity Action for the guys on skateboards, tricycles and the like. All fun and games until someone loses an eye.

Also pictured are some shots of Sarah reading the kids a story, Gideon reading himself a story, and some general 'take a photo of me Dad' type stuff. Enjoy.
